Finding your way in a new culture, adapting to a foreign environment, and learning a new language at the same time – building a life in another country is not always easy. That's why speakeasy has been offering a wide range of communication-orientated language courses for many years to support you on your adventure abroad.
But that's not all - because we are also offering you the opportunity to apply for our sought-after speakeasy scholarships!
Places
Studying, attending German courses, and managing other responsibilities while working to cover living expenses is a reality for many of our language school participants. Our speakeasy scholarships are designed to support you in settling in Germany and making your journey a bit easier. We offer 3 scholarships for a German course across Germany for language learners, each for a maximum of 6 months. The German course can be used at any of our locations in Berlin, Hamburg or Munich. Once one of these 3 scholarships ends, we award a new scholarship.
Additionally, we offer financial support to participants who receive a scholarship in 2025, with the following prizes:
- 1st place: 1,500 EUR
- 2nd place: 1,000 EUR
- 3rd place: 500 EUR
How can I apply and what are the requirements?
With our scholarships, we aim to support speakeasy participants during their stay in Germany. Therefore, our scholarship program is open to all current course participants who have attended a speakeasy language course for at least two months and have not yet received a scholarship. If you meet the formal requirements, you can take your chance and submit your application at any time. It's simple: just send us a 90-second video in which you introduce yourself and share your personal motivation (in English).
After a scholarship term ends, we carefully review all submissions and award the next scholarships. When selecting applicants, we place special emphasis on your personal motivation and social commitment, rather than focusing solely on academic success. Your creativity in creating the video is also an important factor in our evaluation.
If you are selected for the next available scholarship spot, we will contact you. Even if your application is not selected in the first round, you still have a chance to receive one of the subsequent spots.
