Online Tutoring with a live teacher
Online over Zoom
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 17:00 – 19:00 CET
Our Online Tutoring sessions are a chance for you to interact with a German teacher outside of classtime. You can ask for further clarification about topics you didn‘t fully understand or for explanations about specific homework questions. If you missed a class, it‘s an opportunity to learn the material that was covered.
The Online Tutoring sessions take place over Zoom two times per week: Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 17:00 – 19:00 CET
Our Online Tutoring sessions take place over Zoom. When you register for one of our courses, you will receive a link in your course information email so that you can log into the Zoom room at the scheduled time.
When you initially try to enter the Zoom room, you will first enter a waiting room and must wait a few minutes for the teacher to admit you to the Zoom room. The waiting room allows us to track the order that Students enter the call. The teacher will answer student questions in the order that the students arrive.
The teacher will spend a maximum of 5 or 10 minutes answering each question, in order to ensure that they able to answer as many questions as possible. You are free to stay for the entire 2-hour session and see the explanations to other student‘s questions, or you can leave after your question has been answered. Because the Online Tutoring sessions are open to students of all levels, do not be surprised if some of the other students ask questions that are still above your own level.
We help you with difficult grammar topics and other language questions.
No. The Online Tutoring sessions are not meant to be a full replacement class for a class
that was missed. Rather, they are intended to clarify unclear or difficult topics regarding
grammar rules or homework questions.
If you missed a class, you are still more than welcome to attend an Online Tutoring session
and receive clarification about the topic that was covered in the class you missed. However,
please be aware that the teacher of the Online Tutoring session will not have the time to go
into as much detail as you would receive in your regular class.
Though the teacher will try their best to answer everyone’s questions throughout the 2-hour session, sometimes, so many students attend that this is simply not possible. In this case, you are more than welcome to attend the next Online Tutoring session or you can ask your teacher in your regular class to provide an explanation.
