Course Format
Practise your spoken German on Fridays with interactive discussions in Berlin.
Intensity
3 teaching hours per week will get your German ready for spoken interaction in the real world.
Course duration
With a duration of four weeks, you can join the conversation course at the start of every course month.
Start Time
The perfect transition into the weekend: Your conversation course takes place from 10am to 12:45pm.
Virtual classroom

In agreement with the Common European Framework for Languages, the conversation courses in German at speakeasy are divided into the following levels: A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1. This structure helps you find the course that is right for you. In our intensive courses, each of these levels is further subdivided into part 1 and part 2 (e.g. A1.1 and A1.2). After completing your course, you will then move up to the next higher level (e.g. A2.1 and then A2.2).

German Conversation Class (Weekly courses German)
We're pleased to offer weekly courses that can be taken on their own or in combination with other courses at speakeasy. German Conversation Classes take place every Friday at 10.00 – 12.45. Stay tuned for further new weekly courses coming soon!
The courses on offer are:
- German Conversation Class A1 (Beginner level)
- German Conversation Class A2 (Elementary level)
- German Conversation Class, B1 and upwards (Intermediate & Advanced levels)
Why take a German conversation class?
You could say that a conversation class is something of a rehearsal for real life… Using the German language is of course one of the keys to becoming more fluent. If you are learning a foreign language, opportunities to speak with natives are not always so easy to come by. And if your exposure to the language is limited, you can get quite demotivated. With German conversation classes, you are guaranteed an opportunity to speak, to listen and to practice on a regular basis.
German conversation classes aim to help you consolidate your speaking ability and provide as much speaking practice as possible. Working with other learners of the same level you'll soon see that you can hold real conversations and you'll soon lose any stigma or fear you might have had of speaking in public. This will help you to finally speak fluent German with confidence!
At speakeasy, our German Conversation classes naturally focus on pronunciation and accent reduction, so you'll learn to speak more like a real German. What's more, you'll pick up a lot of colloquial language, making day to day encounters in German much easier – you'll be buying 'Schrippen' at your local bakers before you know it!
In conversation classes you will also use and recycle what you've learnt previously, breaking any bad habits and reinforcing proper German language usage through spoken practice and error correction in a real-life environment.
